Following months of planning, construction works and technical installations (and the added complication of Covid-restrictions), we were finally able to host a small gathering of friends and colleagues in Crichton Central this week.
The Band Night, which included performances from Redfish Blues Band, Dobra Dave and Chazz, was arranged to allow the team to host a trial event before opening the doors to the public later in the month.
A small number of invited guests and partners came along to Crichton Central to enjoy an evening of live music and to sample the new menu. Following the installation of new audio, visual, streaming and state-of-the-art lighting equipment in The Lounge, Studio and Control Room at Crichton Central, this was the perfect way to try it out for the first time and was a much anticipated opportunity to experience live music again!
Local community radio station, DCR Online, were also able to try out their new studio in Crichton Central and had the privilege of hosting and interviewing the performers as they came off stage. The evening was also an opportunity to test out the live streaming capabilities of Crichton Central.
The Crichton Trust would like to acknowledge the support of all those involved in planning, hosting, testing and entertaining on the night and to all those who have been working tirelessly behind the scenes for many months to provide us with such a functional, high-tech and stunning venue. What’s not to love about an evening of freshly baked pizza, delicious chilli, good company and live music in a stunning new venue!
With plans for a phased opening of Crichton Central due to be announced imminently, we hope it won’t be too long before we can open the doors and welcome you all along to experience Crichton Central for yourself.
