Changing Places at Crichton Central
We are delighted to say that we have added a new Changing Places Toilet to the map in the South of Scotland within our space at Crichton Central. The Crichton is already an accessible location, both indoors and out, but the addition of a Changing Places facility is set to change the lives of those who depend on these facilities when out and about.
When arriving at Crichton Central please ask a member of our team for access to the Changing Places facility.
What can you expect from a Changing Places Toilet?
Our Changing Places facilities have a number of features, including:
- More space
- a height adjustable changing bench
- a hoist
- a peninsular toilet
- privacy screen
- paper roll for the bench
- non-slip floor
- emergency alarm
- accessible shower
Crichton Central also has free disabled parking spaces, accessible work and meeting spaces and free access to our landscaped grounds.
The Importance of Changing Places
Changing Places Toilets change lives and The Changing Places Consortium have been campaigning to increase the number of Changing Places Toilets in the UK since 2006. Although accessible toilets can be easily found, they are not suitable for everyone and the Consortium has been campaigning to encourage venues across the UK to include standard toilets, accessible toilets and Changing Places Toilets in their buildings whenever possible.
